There is a number of ways to collect and open a Chest in Puzzle Quest 3

The most common way to be awarded a chest is after completing some battles. Among your rewards will be a chest and the following prompt, where you can choose to either;

  • Open the chest with the corresponding Key
  • Spend Gems to open
  • Salvage the Chest in exchange for Gold
  • Store For Later.
  • Send a Minion to open it
    • For more information on Minions, click here.

If you have the space free and you select Store For Later, you can then go back to your Hero tab to view them and the options above will still be available to you.

Chest Vault

Once you are awarded a Chest if you do not have the means to open it instantly you can store it in your Vault!

Starting with 3 Chest slots, extra slots can be unlocked by purchasing the VIP Pass as well as upgrading the rarity of the Guard Follower.

If your Vault is full of Chests and you are rewarded another, you will need to open or Salvage one of your stored chests.
