The Issue
From Tuesday night (PDT), unscheduled push notifications for Gems of War will temporarily stop being sent.
This means that even if you have Guild Alerts and some other alert types enabled in your in game settings, you won't receive push notifications for:
- Pet Rescues started by Guild mates
- Guild chat
- General Guild activity
Additionally, some players will also receive inactivity notifications while playing actively and daily.
Since the release of update 8.4, players may receive random daily notifications. This is due to the ongoing work getting the 3rd party service provider for the Gems of War push notifications up and running on our system.
The Fix
This issue is currently under investigation by the development team.
This issue is occurring due to transitioning to a new 3rd party service provider for the Gems of War push notifications. We're currently working with the new provider to resolve the issue.
We're very sorry for the inconvenience in the mean time.
There is no need to contact Gems of War support.
